Those things genuinely creep me out and make me want to start wearing a mask in public again.

Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•I am appalled by the number of people on here who think Donald Trump blew Bill Clinton.
6·5 months agoI don’t think many people truly believe it, but I’m sure people talking about it is pissing Trump off, so please never stop guys.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•When “Ordinary People” on TikTok turn out to be professional actors
6·7 months agoI tell my kids that nobody is their authentic self on camera. Everyone is acting to some degree. They watch YouTube sometimes and we’ll talk about what the purpose of the video was. Was this person trying to sell you something? Teach you something? Make you believe something? Right now we only have YouTube accessible on the living room TV so that I always know what they’re watching, but I won’t be able to control that forever so I am making sure they learn to think critically about what they’re watching. I started when they were toddlers by making a big show of not liking ads.

A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•Even households earning $150,000 a year are struggling with credit card and car payments
177·9 months agoI really don’t understand how you can earn $150,000 a year and can’t make ends meet without making some really irresponsible decisions, though. My family of four is living off $40,000 (CAD) and all our bills are paid. I’d blame it on Americas lack of social programs but Canadians making $200,000+ a year are saying the same thing.
It’s wild this is a paid thing in the US. As far as I know, in Canada, you can only donate for free. Blood, plasma, sperm, doesn’t matter. Can’t be paid for surrogacy either.

I moved several months ago and have yet to connect my PS4 to the internet. Looks like I never will.
