The diagnostic software environment I use to test graphics card VRAM only boots in legacy mode. TServer and Memtune are both internal AMD Tools that have leaked. So far, older boards that support Legacy / CSM have been the ideal platform as a test bench for graphics card repair.
Probably going to be quite the shakeup in the graphics card repair community’s toolkit if the updated version of Memtune for 9xxx cards ever leaks.
I’ve had a Switch since it launched. For the most part, it collected dust - it saw use around certain major game releases and that’s it.
My Steam Deck has completely displaced my high end (well, for 2021) gaming PC - anything that doesn’t run well natively is easily streamed over the network from that PC. I can hang out in the living room watching TV with my partner.
The emulation capabilities have allowed me to conveniently tap back into my entire childhood of gaming, even extending into some titles that I had missed.
The biggest thing has been having access to the entire PC gaming content library. Sales, free Epic games, Amazon Prime Gaming - it’s all there. It’s a far better value proposition than the Switch.
A few things stand out to me in your screenshot.
It lists the GPU as consuming 0W, which is likely not true. Based on that, the power / current limit reason is probably inaccurate
Your temperatures are both well below TJ Max for those components, so I don’t see the Temp limit reason as valid either.
Your GPU utilization is at around 50%, but I also see your framerate at an even 144 - I would surmise that you have vsync enabled.
I’m inclined to suspect your AIO’s pump is intermittently not working.
Consider a high end air cooler to get comparable performance with less complexity, at the expense of cosmetics (depending on personal preference)

I’ve had the issue with the plug falling out, actually bonked my Deck’s screen and cracked the protector while I was fishing headphones out of a bag on a flight.
I use a cable with a 90 degree tip and found that, for the outlets that are on the seat, I can attach the cable to the tray arm with a Clove Hitch to help the plug stay put and catch it if it falls.

The second is missing the GPU, VRAM, and related components. The “graphics card”, in a manner of speaking.
You should get the board that matches what you already have because the heatsink will be set up for that configuration.
Worth mentioning that, depending on what “damaged” means, it’s possible the original motherboard can be repaired for less than the cost of a replacement.
The pattern looks like a GPU, more specifically a problem with VRAM.
This looks like a low to mid range HP laptop, so I question whether or not it even has dedicated graphics.
Systems with integrated graphics share RAM to use for graphics functions.
To test VRAM, one would use Nvidia MATS/MODS or AMD TServer/Memtune. They are not very accessible for the average user.
To test RAM, use Memtest86. This one is free and relatively straightforward.
This is, for the most part, a myth and not worth doing. Reflowing is not not repair.
If this is a hard / full system freeze, there will be nothing you can do because the system has fully locked up. Test whether or not this is the case by pressing CapsLock and seeing if the status indicator light changes states.
Freezing like you describe is often a hardware issue, I recommend that you start by testing your RAM with Memtest86

A “power user” is typically going to go through the UEFI/BIOS settings immediately after assembling their machine to configure them to their liking. Having that preference, you likely fall within that category. I would add that, at this point, this practice is about 6 generations old at this point and in use by most motherboard vendors.
As the article mentions, the feature could be considered useful. These products aren’t designed specifically for power users. Having network access and a frictionless path to driver deployment is ultimately beneficial to the majority of consumers who are going to interact with this hardware.
I’m quite happy to install it, disable its startup background functions, and then use it to install / update drivers periodically. Much less tedious than doing it the manual way, especially when managing 10-20 systems per week.
There’s a bunch of other potential functions but I simply don’t bother with them.
It’s for the more novice users who can assemble a PC but don’t ever think go download / install drivers afterwards.
Most of the motherboard OEMs do this. I get a lot fewer tickets where the root cause of the issue can be boiled down to “never installed drivers afterwards installing Windows”, which is also helped by the fact that many drivers are also served through Windows Update.

Third party apps don’t have the ability to back up in the background all the time the way the native Photos / iCloud experience does. They need to be periodically opened to have temporary background access.
Launching the third party camera app cannot be done from the lockscreen.
What you’re not understanding is the entire point of folks’ complaints. With arbitrary restrictions put in place by Apple, there cannot be full parity in functionality between Apple’s native apps / cloud experience and those that can delivered by third party apps. While it’s possible to use third party apps, there are a bunch of little quirks and inconveniences that will ultimately drive the user back towards the native apps and spending money on Apple’s cloud service.

A brief 1-2 minute charge nets you hours of use, it’s really not a big deal.
Curious to see how effective this is and excited to contribute to its efficacy. I own a repair business and it has taken years to develop the means to effectively cross-reference for compatibility, it takes over a year for a new tech to reliably get the swing of things.
