I hate discord so much
I mean, what people refer to as AI today isn’t really synonymous with actual AI
It’s been cheapened
They can’t just promise they “never will” and then get rid of it. People who used the service under the original agreement should still be able to claim that benefit since it was promising to never sell it.
So why Google pixels instead of dedicated recording hardware? I feel like there are better microphones out there than Google pixels.
My comment had nothing to do with Taiwan, just the quote that sunzu2 said about how US construction actually works.
You saying things like OSHA and fall arrest harnesses and PPE don’t affect construction speed in the US at all?
Could you imagine if at some point all elected officials are “required” to use armored Tesla’s for transport “security” and then Trump and Musk have the ability to lock uncooperative politicians inside and drive them into a lake or explode the trucks on demand?
The next Democrat should run with the goal to rename it to Gulf of Donald’s Defeat. I would vote for them.
Except that other pizzeria two minutes away isn’t only pricing it’s pizza for walk-ins either, it’s offering free delivery to steal the customers further away from the other pizzeria. They both would have the charge built into their pizza, so it’s irrelevant. Unless that pizzeria doesn’t do any delivery at all, in which case the first pizzeria doesn’t have to worry much as it has all the business for people who don’t want to come in and pick up pizza.
The pizza place has free delivery because the cost is built into the pizza and people who pick up at the store pay that even though they don’t get delivery. Using a private delivery service they charge more because they don’t get a piece of the ‘pie’ so you’re basically paying twice for delivery.
Because new items can still use old technologies if it makes more sense to do so?
A 2025 vehicle with a manual radio sold for $30,000 might still sell better than a 2020 vehicle with a touchscreen dash for $25,000
Governments can place qualifiers based on hostile behaviours but then still selectively enforce said restrictions on the platforms they want to target.
Such as with tiktok they specially worded the laws so that it only affected tiktok and not the others.
It’s on my desktop Gmail and I’ve been having a shitty time trying to disable it and remove it.
Literally asked Gemini how to remove Gemini and it said it did not know, then I called it stupid, and then it apologised and said I can remove Gemini in the Gmail settings, but I couldn’t find the option after yelling at it in all caps and it’s still there just taunting me
Pretty sure a pub would ask you to leave if you didn’t buy anything
We need more buildings that are like public parks. A big open and inviting space with tables and benches and power outlets free for anyone to use.
Libraries are nice for studying but you can’t eat and drink in there or chat with friends and family. I can’t think of any public spaces that really reflect what a coffee shop could provide.
It would be funny if tiktok just put out a transfer request to everyone’s accounts and then make a new company called toktik and all content gets transferred with any account that opts in. Then the government has to go through the whole process to shut down toktik again.
Credible burn probably
Because you don’t need training and education to be a cop. No one really wants to be one anymore because they ruined their reputations so they have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get anyone.
I mean, for now…
If terms of use aren’t regulated in any way apparently companies can change them whenever they fucking want to.
They can say this today and then a month from now completely backtrack just like Mozilla did…
Terms of use do not mean fucking anything.
