What’s it like being a monster?
Sure, but this article is a “Joe Biden Bad” article and immediately cites a report that directly corresponds to a Trump policy… without even giving any indication that it was a Trump policy and that the report was related to a specific time after that policy was instated… 7 years ago. All of this to show that “sanctions are bad” and since Biden has more sanction, Biden bad. If they’re not going to provide critical context, then they’re shitty journalists, they’ve compromised their credibility and it’s not worth reading. Any of their conclusions are suspect. I’m not even defending Biden here…
Also, Joe Biden isn’t even running for president… so what’s the point of the smear campaign?
I was interested and clicked the first source to find this:
As many as 40,000 people may have died in Venezuela as a result of US sanctionsthat made it harder for ordinary citizens to access food, medicine and medical equipment, a new report has claimed.
The report, published by the Centre for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) a progressive, Washington DC-based think tank, says those deaths took place following the imposition of sanctions in the summer of 2017.
Summer of 2017… hmm… which makes me doubt every other word in the article.
Who decided that this campaign to suppress the vote was worth running? Imagine being this bad at your job. Worse yet… what donkeys are taking money to run this? I’ve worked some worthless jobs, but Christ… I’d feel awful about myself every day. Maybe it’s the same people that run the unending scams?
Glad you could convert your partner to “the way”! I’ve always wondered if it’s less wear and tear or not. I’ve been using mine for decades now (daily…) and I’ve yet to have any problems.
First time I’ve heard of ploopy! I’m due to replace my current trackball and this is extremely tempting!
Absolutely agree! It’s especially great for small spaces and I can even use it while walking around if I need to!
I too am a trackball enthusiast! I have the same mouse even. (Not that there’s that many to choose from) I never seem to spot our kind in the wild!
Nice setup!
Holy shit. If this article is legitimate these people are morons. Luckily the governor, state, and house are all democratic controlled.
Jesus wept.
Nice! Glad to hear it’s gotten better! I haven’t tried in a long awhile so I’m not surprised it’s fixed
I haven’t extensively tested it but I have been able to get it to work with both. I was also able to use a usb hub with a Logitech dongle for a mouse and a Bluetooth keyboard. On my flights, I’ll normally pair my Sony Bluetooth headphones.
All of it has worked seamlessly for me.
The following context is at least a year or two old, so I’m betting things have gotten a lot better since: I had issues when pairing multiple Nintendo pro controllers to the steamdeck. It would work and then suddenly drop one or both of the controllers. When using a mouse and keyboard with the deck, I’ve had issues when using game mode (as opposed to desktop mode). Frequently this resulted in my character looking straight at the ground no matter what I did. When in desktop mode, performance takes a hit and my games would drop frames occasionally. I originally hoped I could seamlessly dock this and play couch coop games. At the time this functionality felt mostly broken, but I’ve been told it’s gotten a lot better in later patches.
I have the older steam deck, but I still love it. I’ve used it for rocket league, a whole suite of indie games, Sifu, Like A Dragon, and a semi tolerable bg3 experience. Emulation is also pretty fantastic.
Just a heads up that CS2 isn’t super enjoyable to play on the steam deck. Unless you’re really good with the gyro aiming, you’re going to get wrecked. I also had some frame drops when playing csgo. It’s possible that that’s gotten better with CS2 though.
I’d stick with the old mouse and keyboard for those games unless you’re somehow playing with folks who also have steam decks.
Also, you stating that “there’s more to the story” is you doing a form of what I described above…which is pushing back on the person complaining and not on the underlying rude behavior.
I don’t think this is true. I stated that the staring behavior would be considered very rude and implied heavily that whoever is staring is in the wrong. To be clear, whoever is staring is in the wrong. They should not do this.
It’s more that I’m surprised that you’re running into this issue. In my social circle, staring would be considered extremely rude and, if I complained to others about it, people would strongly agree. This is what led me to believe that there’s some extra piece of info here. For example, maybe you come from a culture where staring is acceptable or you’re young and happen to be surrounded by jackasses.
I feel like there’s more to this story. My experience is US centric, but it’s considered very rude to stare at people… and I can’t imagine why anyone would tell you “maybe the issue is you” when you complained about folks staring at you.
I will say that a large number of guys don’t realize how obvious they are when checking out someone they’re attracted to.
Only the cellular iPads have the eSIM. The standard WiFi ones do not. Since iOS covers both of these devices, older models, and folks who choose not to have a carrier despite having the ability to do so, I don’t believe this would be a partial solution at best.
Interesting thought! This wouldn’t work for iPads and iPhones with no sim (but use WiFi) though
I’m really interested to see how they’re going to region lock this. Will it be where the device was sold? Does that comply with EU regulations? Will it be geographical location? If I move to the US, will it lock the side loaded apps? If I grab a VPN can I side load things?
