This literally happened in my meeting last week. Top position development manager was complaining the existing thing was shit. Basically means we have to build a new thing from scratch. And guess what? The deadline is 12 Sep.

I see… No one cares here and everyone just merges randomly. We have about 20 people working on one repo as well but a lot of times it’s the changes to the same file 😭

Curious question: how many people work on one repo/module/service at your workplace or organization?

I have been vomiting blood since day1 because of merge conflicts everywhere… I’m still trying to get better at git to make my life easier.

I am pretty committed. I even volunteered to help with devops stuff with my country’s instance to make it a better experience for the local community. I actually wished more communities move here.
