Same. Was working a few days ago until the latest build where discord crashes. I’m on openSUSE tumbleweed

I use the steam deck preset with yuzu. I also changed the resolution to 900p and increased the framecap to 40 fps and menu to 90 IIRC
I also lowered draw distance slightly. Can’t remember if I made any other adjustments
I’ve got totk running at around 30-40 fps with some hitches using TOTK optimizer https://github.com/MaxLastBreath/TOTK-mods/releases
You can’t buy me off, Burger Man!
I think it’s plainly just sketchy when someone is doing good things but making it extremely publicly open and obvious to anyone that it’s happening. There’s an argument to be made around publicity = ads = more funding for similar stuff but it still feels a little icky. Not to say his contributions are negligible of course
I’ve had one of these running for years, honestly I didn’t expect it to last this long as it looks really cheap
Had similar happen to me except I didn’t get to appeal it for quite a while and they told me they couldn’t tell me why it was banned and they wouldn’t be lifting it, I had no purchases mind you. Just made another account
If whatever you’re doing works with av1 then I’d say go for it. I do AV1 for Plex since all of my devices can hardware decode, however I keep my own videos at h264 software encoded (for smaller filesizes) since Synology photos doesn’t support AV1.
I use tdarr for my large scale conversions to AV1 but I use shutterencoder for everything else. It’s like handbrake but friendly for working in large batches and the UI is really nice https://www.shutterencoder.com/en/ It will add H265 to the end of the name too
Gonna agree or disagree with both of you - I think gaming is worse most of the time on an ultra wide but doing productivity side by side is really cool, and like you mentioned watching movies works very well with 2.4:1 or similar aspect ratios
Today I learned yt-dlp has sponsorblock built in
Yeah if any dealerships near me ever had any in stock I probably would have bought one by now on impulse, I wish you could purchase it without any kind of dealership intervention though
Yeah I’m pretty split right now between getting a bolt while they’re still available or waiting and hoping the equinox is as good as they are saying it will be. I definitely want an EV at some point though my current (ancient) car currently does the job for short trips
Maintenance is something I’ve been thinking about a lot, thanks for mentioning it. I know it’s supposed to be a lot cheaper than other cars but at the same time I’m curious what maintenance looks like 10+ years out, in other words older than probably most of the bolts out there. I appreciate the comment though!
How do you like your bolt? I’ve been thinking about getting one or maybe an equinox when that comes out
I use plexamp too with a large library so I can comment on the android side (I didn’t know some of these differences existed)
I’ll also comment that I sort all my music by folder and Plex does ok with this Not great, but it works
Someone gets an eraser out and goes at it
I’ve started consciously avoiding clickbait looking thumbnails for a while. While this addon looks great on paper, I do prefer to support creators who don’t treat me like a kid in a candy store. That being said, I had no idea this addon existed, that’s pretty cool
I watched Daft Punk’s Interstellar 5555 AI remaster when it was in theaters recently. Granted this is an anime, not live action. I think the source footage they used was probably standard definition, but overall I’d say it was a net negative experience. There were time it would look good but when it looks bad, which is often (particularly in the background or on small objects) it’s incredibly distracting
To put it another way, the bad had a bigger impact to me than when it looked good. But then again, this is an anime and is probably pretty low frame rate especially compared to sitcoms which from what I recall probably run around 60p, so it might look better
