As usual, my timing is impeccable. I just downloaded 22.1 last night lol

In the past? Ever since that '70s show was on, I see '70s and '80s hair everywhere on every kid now. It makes me feel like such a boomer to want to yell “cut your GD hair!”

It’s true that this is all AI slop and that they are disgustingly manipulative videos but I do disagree with the notion that the nostalgia and The era was fake and never existed. As a child of the '80s and '90s we really did stay out all day until the street lights came on, and hang out in pizza places and malls and the internet and our screen life has played a major role in changing that. What is heinous here is that people are creating triggers just to manipulate generations. Not the nostalgia.

…this…crap… mildly infuriates me…
Care to elaborate on how Epic is not private? It’s whole pitch is about privacy, and I wonder what they’re hiding then.
Update again: I just uninstalled Maxthon. It actually installed uuGPT on my computer as a separate program, and pinned a shortcut to the taskbar. I did not notice (& am pretty watchful for these things) it ask permission to do so during setup.
Previous Update: Just tried to search for something instead of search results, Maxthon uses an integrated AI chatbot called uuGPT - which apparently integrates all of the major chatbots into one. Not great, I guess.
I chose Nord VPN based on several posts I read on here (Lemmy). Why are Proton and Mullvad better choices?

My husband and I were having lunch in a diner last weekend and by the bar they had a display cooler selling Smart Water. I over heard the lady next table over tell her friend: “oh I need to get some of that before we go. ITS GOT ELECTROLYTES!” she said, unironically. I nearly choked on my lunch. Lol

Yeah, I was thinking of editing my comment regarding this - lots of companies have started charging fees if you DONT use autopay. (They can call it a discount all they want, but the price you’re paying with autopay is the price. They’re really charging you a fee if you don’t.) Practically speaking, it is likely cheaper if you pay 1 overdraft fee a year than paying $10 a month for manual payment. But, I’m a crotchety old stubborn man who somehow has the idea he can change a giant corporation by giving them a fake middle finger.

I’m decades old. The lesson I learned over decades is to NEVER sign up for autopay. NEVER. THERE’S NOT A COMPANY OUT THERE THAT BUGS YOU FOR AUTO PAY THAT WON’T ABUSE YOU.
Just clarifying, does this report mean it’s collected while a user is using the tools, or data that is generally scraped from the internet?

I have a 20ish year old history in my Gmail account organized in labels and all that. I wonder if it will be viable to migrate?
And then they go and remotely kill the vacuum after just 5 years… (See above)… Yeah, not crying for iRobot…
I know these solutions cost more but if you’re having trouble with frequent spoilage this might save you $$
For cow milk, try and buy organic in a container that blocks light. I find these to have extra long expiration dates compared to plastic jug regular milk… Often 2-3 months from purchase and it is often unspoiled past that.
Try unsweetened original almond milk. I find it hard to tell the difference and the almond milk I buy can last 4-5 months in my fridge if I don’t use it sooner.
