Exactly, I used to hike to the top of a mountain find a shady spot and work till my battery died then hike back down.

My current preference for S̵o̵l̵i̵t̵a̵i̵r̵e̵ (Freecell) tho there are plenty of alternative *nix versions.

Have you tried AisleRiot Solitaire?

In decades of running sfc /scannow I have seen it accomplish something… once… maybe twice… out of thousands…

An actually unpopular opinion? gasp

AI is generally only considered useful in professions people aren’t actually familiar with. AKA it isn’t in its current form to actual experts in anything.
I wasn’t disagreeing just pointing out that a 2TB NVME went from like $180 to $450 :( (as of yesterday at Microcenter at least was $400 last week)
yeah but it is nearly double that now

Man pages are usually pretty good if your available search engines have gotten so bad as to not find the answer as they would rather serve ads than a function.

Is it the conversational style? or that search engines have been designed to be actively worse to keep your eyeballs spending more time looking at advertisements now?

They were being shared by default at first and had to opt out of sharing when many were archived. Unsure if it was true of these particular ones though.

I mean I’ve had to replace a battery every 2 years otherwise this data point has kept working.

Who would though? The marketing idea pushed to the public is that no oil changes means they need no maintenance. They are mechanical devices not magical devices. They require maintenance to stay in good working order like anything. Suspension, brakes (although less often with regeneration systems), tires, wipers, air filters, coolant, batteries 12v not just the rechargeable, transmission fluid (gear box oil on Teslas iirc), etc. This no maintenance myth has turned them into throw away disposable e waste. Not to mention the lack of service for repairing the batteries and computers in the USA leading to insurance totaling the vehicles and them ending up rebuilt in Ukraine.
Ubuntu LTS but grumbling about it considering distro hopping even though I disabled any snaps giving me issues immediately etc.
