I read something that reports the rest of the Epstein oligarch parasite job creator class is reacting with a “HOW DARE THEY! Don’t they know who WE ARE?”

“You’ll eventually give in” Tells you everything you need to know about the power of large tech companies in the US .
We have the money and the power to force this technology in to the mainstream. Tech companies know that Congress is way too old, way too corrupt, and way too slow to really do anything about regulating stuff like this in a reasonable time frame. They have no real barriers and the heads of these companies don’t give a shit about the user as long as they pay their monthly subscription.

The modern American lifestyle is built from very sophisticated and aggressive marketing especially with vehicles. The lessons we have learned have never been around moderation (Thanks Reagan) but around consumption. Look at the backlash when the Prius first came on the market to see how people were shamed for buying something small and efficient. The brainwashing is real and deeply set. I agree with your assessment I hope that more people start looking at fuel efficient cars, but in America its a big economic and mental hill to climb.

Changing the framing can help from weight loss to health improvement.
You may always be overweight by health standards (BMI) but if your blood work is good, you’re happy with how you are able to do the activities you like, you feel/are strong, you eat quality foods, and are mostly a happy person then I would say that you’re successful.

I’m always baffled by the lack of curiosity around this subject. It’s just blame the victim for being obese. Just eat less, bro! and then defend that viewpoint to the death. There never seems to be a point where the question comes up “I wonder why only in the last 30 years or so that the western world has seen this dramatic increase in obesity?” Can’t be large food corporations making cheap unhealthy foods highly addictive. Can’t be a significant reduction in nutrition education. Can’t be a reduction in access to mental healthcare.
Nope. Just fatty goin’ to be fat. Such a fucking lazy take.

Statements like this from people like him just tell me that they are scared.

So with a large percentage of people in America living close to paycheck - to - paycheck the price of gas and food increasing while income stays relatively stagnate. More and more are using credit to get by just for day to day stuff. With the current administration killing (killed) off any incentives for EVs along with a lack of charging infrastructure for them - the biggest being in apartments which is where many live due to the cost of buying a house is outrageous. How and what are they supposed to use for buying these more efficient vehicles ?
I’m not trying to be a dick with this its just not as easy as getting a more efficient car - and with gas prices continuing to go up more efficient cars will become more expensive and sought after as well.

I believe that the reason for the layoff was due to the debt they took out to build data centers which was ~$10 billion so in order to not be too upside down they laid off 30k employees to save on payroll. I could be wrong on this fact, since I don’t completely trust the source I got it from. But sounds like something Oracle would do.

“If you decide to go with your ego and not with your head, you are leaving behind dozens of wealthy people from all over the world who will know that you performed market manipulation and stole from them. They know who you are, you don’t know who they are. It took them less than 5 minutes to find out exactly where you live … how often you see your lovely parents … and exactly who your … brothers and sisters are.”
So the guy threatening the journalist to change his story so the gambler can make money isn’t market manipulation, but the journalist not changing his story is…
What scary about this, and it was mentioned in the article, is how future stories by less than ethical “journalist” can be purchased so that one side can become rich. Fuck accuracy it’s all about the money.
Well it’s not like that is already the case with social media, but I would like to think there is at least some aspect of reporting that is based in ethics and truth.

I know I’m crazy to say this but shouldn’t this read: CONGRESS say… not trump?

HA! yes. I knew I spelled it wrong just to lazy to edit my post - thanks!

This feels like gorilla marketing to me. They knew the judge would tell them to take them off and it would be just enough of a sensational story to make it to press. Now more people know that Meta has these glasses.
Edit: I’m not changing it. The responses to my mistake are too funny

You know whats crazy is how much shit that trump has done during his time as president - how outrageous and what-the-fuckness of it all and some how we have to believe that he didn’t even attempt to try to rig the election? That the statement you made is just too crazy and out there for it to be real. That you had to call out that you may be living in crazy land conspiracy theory land just in case.
I don’t think it’s in any way crazy to believe that with all the other shit that he has done, including leading an insurrection against this country. I’m with you I think he did indeed rig the election with the help of musk and others and I’m not going to apologize about that belief.

Remember that these CEO’s are the ones (along with their pay-for talking heads in the media) that will, with the zeal and energy of a pentecostal minister on crack, tell us all that socialism will destroy innovation, reward the lazy, and put a bigger burden on the middle class tax payer. All while doing everything their bank accounts can do to build a system where they get more and more of our tax money - because of reasons.

Sounds like a man that is running from his demons

taxes the government steals from us
No it’s not the government that is stealing from us its the Uber wealthy that use our tax money (that should be going to the greater good of the citizens of the country) for their own gain.

Give it time and there will be the option of Gigantic Corp paying for your teeth if you grow their logo on them.

Its right up there with the bumper stickers I saw that said “I want MY country back!”
Guess the race, gender and age of the driver of that car - Bonus points to guess the type and design on the cap they were wearing.

I’ve always thought that most trump supporters just projected what they wanted trump to be on to him and trump never corrected them. Why would he?
so it’s no surprise to hear these regrets because their false images of him are cracking and they don’t know what to do.
It’s almost like governments of all sizes have been captured by companies and now protect them against the evil consumer which is completely backwards to what governmental organizations were originally created for.
