I would recommend hard power cycling the TV and re-evaluating. For example, on both my TCL Roku and LG WebOS TVs, home screen ads are completely eliminated with pihole dns blocking. Additionally, I got rid of home screen ads on my Nvidia shield and other devices.
Make sure that you’re blocking the right domains.
Edit: before anyone says “but why even connect the TV to the Internet at all?” - the reason is because you’re likely to get the best HDR quality (especially Dolby Vision) from the TV’s native streaming apps. Dolby vision is an absolute fucking disaster on external devices and barely works at all on Windows (if at all.)
Have you ever looked at OLED TV prices? This is absolutely a normal price.
Sorry, I’m confused. You should easily be able to block these home screen ads ads with pihole or router dns blocking. I know because I do it with my smart tvs. Are you saying that that isn’t working?
A little dramatic but okay.
If anyone wants to neatly summarize this drama in a few sentences, that would be much appreciated. I don’t have time to read this essay or watch multiple 45 minute videos on GN.
Honestly it’s more fucking cringe when these clowns try to walk back their opinion in a clearly bullshit and artificial way. I rather them just own it. If you’re gonna be a cuck, be a cuck. Don’t backtrack.
I’ve talked to numerous people who have modern Samsung QD OLED and Mini LED TVs and literally not a single one has ever mentioned an issue like this. I’m incredibly skeptical of your claim.

How so? What do you mean?
All these companies are equally shit ha. Also i’ve found that you can block a lot of the telemetry on all these OS’ with Pihole.
I hope you don’t think actually think that Google doesn’t do the same shit.

Every single SmartTV OS does this fyi.
Literally every smartTV OS does this. Roku isn’t special. They all collect image metadata, at least by default.
It’s really not impractical. I literally do it every day. I do work on my IPS monitor on the right. Then I switch to the oled on the left for games. I think you can do it. You may just need to change stuff around a little.
That’s why 4k monitors are 32" instead of 27" btw. So it doesn’t look way too small.
Also I think you’re overblowing the risk of OLED burn in. But a great way to avoid this is just simply use the OLED for gaming only? You have 2 orher monitors at least…use those for work?
Your undervolt clearly isn’t stable. I think that’s obvious. If it’s crashing on stock then you might have a problem.
