I mean if they want to use it despite being told the state of things then who cares? There’s nothing to win here, it’s their pc
I couldn’t care less if someone on the internet sabotages their files because they want to be right 100% of time
When we teach other people something we take on a responsibility. I know responsibility is not a popular word these days but it’s true. We are responsible to make sure our material is of solid quality. I personally feel nowhere close to the great honor of providing knowledge despite many years of study.
Sure I could perhaps share some selected things but I feel that is too great burden to act as an authority. Of course life isn’t perfect and sometimes we must rely on less than ideal material hastily to meet the demands placed upon us or even unfortunately we find ourselves in the position of a teacher prematurely. We should strive to reduce amount of bad habits and spaghetti code made by beginners who take in dubious courses.
If we want to live in a world of readable and maintainable code we shouldn’t produce antithesis of such as ‘guides’
I see I struck some nerve here, calm down and just evaluate yourself if what you post has any value. Do you feel confident about your skills?
As I said previously. Do not attempt to teach or guide in any field you have no idea about. Sorry you feel attacked by my post but I have slightly better things to be doing than placating harmed egos on the web.
Well if you don’t know what constitutes good code and what constitutes bad code practices and don’t see how much crap is on the web, not even compilable sometimes, then you probably are among the very people who should refrain from teaching others and/or cease sharing your ‘valuable knowledge’
In fact, I insist you to do so
All these code gurus with code quality of chatgpt 🤢 yet fancy lighting setups and VFX intros. Still, sometimes you can find a real gem in the wild on some humble but informative website.
If you don’t have necessary experience and are pretending to be an expert sharing your ‘knowledge’ on the web… You should stop.
So only good tutorials/ guides are allowed from people that know what they are doing and aren’t just Sunday programmers and everyone else should stop littering the internet?
Yes.
but you do not think we should bully those who just try to make ad money on teaching things they don’t know a frick about do you?
We absolutely should.
How dare you?
You can’t even search the entirety of reddit from browser bar if you aren’t using google search engine 💀 iirc that was actually the jolt that made me spent 10k on entrenching in apple ecosystem within a week at the time and to this day I cannot force myself to install google maps so when I want to find something using phone I end up struggling with browser version and broken css like a moron. Moreover some sites plainly just don’t work on anything that isn’t chromium
I think that people in USA may be more different from those of Western Europe than I even imagined. It was very cool experience. Ive even grown a bit from it and crystallised my fundamentals. It was an unexpectedly productive chat
Steam deck is great. It seemingly connects the arcane nerdy and streamlined casual. Whatever is your jam and mood in the moment there is always plethora of things you can play. Almost infinite possibilities. Modded. Portable.
It’s one of the only purchases that I never really regretted. Somehow it has the wow factor each day as when it was new.
I tried to see if I like kenshi game. I don’t but it is crazy that it is comfortable on deck and rimworld, dwarf fortress and sims too. I could use a MacBook Pro smh smh ultra hyper but it is clunky and annoying cold slab of business efficiency.
Any day now and I may actually attempt to run x4 with Star Wars mod though I think that may be actually a single exception but I swear I am going to do this crazy thing. Anything to play next to your loved ones in the living room or elsewhere
You will meet hundreds like me. Not quite me but just like me. And you will keep meeting them and they will say exactly same thing. They are me and you will meet me in each of them.
Just like I do it now. Whenever somebody advocates for some violent idea I will always voice my opposition without hesitation even if that ruins the jolly revolution mood.
Kill only in your name alone and face the consequences but if you kill in the name of some noble idea then you ruin it and corrupt it. You are no part of whatever good you think you are.
Sorry but your experiences are meaningless here. It’s the basic fundamental thing not some comfort. Wherever you are advocating for violence, you will meet me opposing you.
I will always be there.
Yes. This is also nutty and I don’t think you can manage to change my mind. All the violent lemmings are a creepy. You are disturbing.
Even my country which struggled with communism for years, freed itself from the red oppression not by violence but by peaceful negotiations after mass worker strikes.
I know you lot. You pretend to want to solve problems but deep inside you just want to kill someone and get away with it. I have no respect for you.
Okay but this is a movie. If you aren’t below certain age you do not mistake this with reality
It’s not that such situations never happened but they weren’t anywhere as inglorious and cool. Yeah some brain went on the walls. Someone shat themselves in pre death agony uttering incredible smell, someone went deaf from shooting in a small room and got killed right after. It’s just not that cool
There are sooo many cool things why killing each other must be the stuff some ppl find so exciting. It happens and it’s messy and grim. There’s nothing exciting about our innards. It’s fucking disgusting and revolting even
That’s just power fantasy, it doesn’t matter who is on the receiving end as long as they are the good guys
But to be clear I talk about some very specific breed. You can have a gun and not be a nutjob. It isn’t that rare though for someone to have this righteous fantasy
Thank you! You have a way with words.
How do you even find this post but yes I don’t think it changed for me. When I grab a pistol the weight and precision is ominous and solemn. I know that it is specifically made to produce spills of blood and brain on the floor in split seconds. This in turn makes it impossible to lightheartedly enjoy or have fun handling it, cracking jokes left and right with beer and bbq.
