I mean, it is simple.

Yeah the math doesn’t add up. Maybe they bought a bunch of toppings? Pizza places crush you for ordering individual toppings.
It’s to push you into paying for the membership. But yeah they totally rip off lazy people.
I have a GrubHub membership but only because Amazon was offering a 3 year deal last year. I think they may have bought GrubHub…
Some places also charge more on the services to make up for the cut the online service gets.
People didn’t know this? I mean Amazon is evil shit. But companies have been doing stuff like this for 30 years…
I mean if you properly cleaned your hands, the water should be clean? Right?
If it’s like “OnStar” where you could call for help, or they’d call you in an accident. I suspect that’s why it was done :(
Until you find out the cars won’t start without them :(
We’re in a scary new world… I’m glad I’m old with no kids and not in great health.
True, but unless they have a solution to the bot problem blsky is having and reddit has…
They won’t fair any better…
and often subconsciously, for mild cases, it’s so ingrained they don’t even realize they’re doing it.
They absolutely look at routes. The thing is drivers run for multiple companies at once which is fine. The issue is when your Grub order sits in the back of the car for 50 minutes while they deliver 3 Uber orders across town.
I had a guy pick up an order 2 blocks from my house ( I was sick) then drove 20 minutes the opposite direction with my food to pick up at another place.
I’m on the drivers side, but they are bad apples.
The thing is they’re a mess for everyone. So there is statistical value in looking for outliers over a long timeline.
Like anything else it’s the details that matter and how they’re used.
The only reason I’m still on windows is I run a weird 3 monitor setup on a Nvidia GPU.
Even then I could probably switch but I’m too lazy
The bunt has been on the path of enshitification itself for many years no thanks.
As much as I loved 2000, XP was better and 7 the best ever.
2000 was the pioneer though, it was such a huge step forward in every way
“AI” captcha solvers have a 90% plus success rate for old style ones…
This is the correct answer, while it may have more up front costs. It’ll save in the long run, especially if the company has growth potential.
To be fair, being poor only works if it is a clear cut life threatening issue. Otherwise, they treat and street you…
Any modern phone os locks to pin after 3 tries.
Now depending how good they are, it’s often possible to guess it by looking at the smear patterns on the phone.
IANAL, but I’d be very careful about wiping the phone like that. Sounds a lot like destruction of evidence…
Would you pay $1000 for one? Economy of scales matters…
Plus everyone who did look at them would say it is smaller it should cost less! Even though a smaller phone would be more technically challenging to build. Next you have compromises. No matter what you take out to make it work. People would bitch, I need that! I don’t need this other thing! Next battery life, people complain about current battery life, you think they want less?
I could go on, but I can easily see why manufacturers don’t want to deal…
