First you need to just take a step back and calm down. There have been absolutely horrendous periods in human history and way worse in the history of the planet. It’s a pleasantry… it’s like saying “have a nice day” the world is not ending this year and lots of amazing things will happen for people this year. People will fall in love, people will have children (that they want), people will get new jobs, graduate from school, have the best day of their life; all you are doing by saying have a happy new year is say that you hope more good things will happen then bad things

All the major engineering disciplines do the same basic formulas with different concepts. Fluid flow, mass flow, electrical ‘flow’. Are all the same basic equations. Software engineers don’t need to do that, they are further away from the actual math which is what makes engineering, engineering.

There is a professional engineer title in the U.S. top and misrepresentating your self is illegal. However since software engineer isn’t a real type of engineering it doesnt get covered. It’s like how a medical doctor is a protected term but if you misrepresent your self as a PhD that’s not protected

The nuclear plant isn’t obsolete… it’s a PWR and with modern fuel cell designs it can reach the same efficiency as modern plants
