I’ve been talking about it for a while now. . . I finally got around to doing it.

I’m building the database out, with a desktop admin client I spent the last couple days making, to support an open sourced search engine, powered by a category based XXX.XXX.XXX taxonomy.

If you want to see how the database will work, paste this into your ipfs node and follow the next links: bafkreidtfa653iouevuobyozjeakx6fyx5px4xysdnfccnwjgttsazzj2u

This is the current release. I will be adding more to it, but none of the additions will appear here. It’s a huge blockchain. Your IPFS node downloads only the portions of the chain that interests you.

I have plans to role out a desktop explorer client.

Why ipfs? No one uses it and the devs got rich off their coin and never made ipfs useable by the general public

while i agree that the crypto stuff is fucking depressing, this is very exaggerated and miserly…

What do you mean by it not being “usable by the general public”? There’s a desktop client, browser extensions, and you can legitimately build things with it that “just work” provided you have those things installed.
I’d say you’re borderline outright lying.

Because it’s the only content distribution platform of its kind, where you can literally write and pull blocks by CID.

Just because you don’t use IPFS don’t assume nobody else does. Yes, it’s not a point-and-drool tool.
