    Adding insult to injury:

The US-based company operates an AI training platform named Outlier, which employs more than 900,000 “freelance” workers.

Or rather more injury to injury.

Thanks noyb, we really need to stay vigilant. It’s clear that US companies have almost no oversight at home, and expect the same to be the case everywhere.

OK, so, this is clearly bad and it’s great they try to intervene - and really telling there seems to have been no reply at all.

But another thought about A-line that caught my eye:

More than 40 million people already have their work organised by platforms

That kinda sounds like a socialists wet dream. Like, real existing socialism, aka the bad one, but it also has potential for some weird Marx/Asimov futuristic shit that might be pretty decently liveable. Maybe.

Indeed what you’re describing is a recurring argument by people like Cockshot or the INDEP network for the fact that we already have the technology to plan the economy, it’s just captured (mostly) by private corporations. The work of Gianmarco Cristofari instead explores the early examples of states beginning to own these technologies
