Those aboard the chopper were identified as journalist Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw. The third person killed, Edy Gutierrez Mejia, was on the ground at the time, officials said.

    Why are there still news helicopters? Couldn’t the task be performed more efficiently with the use of drones?
    I guess it’s for the drama and shownmanship?

    This is just a morbid datk twist and such a tragedy.
    Maybe we don’t need helicopter reporting. A drone could have captured the scene as well.
