I’m not making this a desktop war… Just mentioned it because everybody was saying something FALSE, because what you say about GNOME and KDE it’s not true. I’m not ignorant, I have years in Linux too, and the fact that you make that ad hominem attack says really much about you. I’ll cut it here because I don’t have time nor energy to follow up, just wanna say everyone here that GNOME isn’t that good.

Except we weren’t talking or asking about how much better KDE is for you. I genuinely don’t care since I already love both desktops. Unlike you, I’m not here to shit on one or the other.
We were discussing the flexibility offered by GNOME’s extensions, which you, with your limited understanding, declared to be something that KDE can match, when that’s just plain untrue just by virtue of how extensions work. You also implied that GNOME core devs are careless about extensions, which they are not. It’s just how GNOME extensions work. It’s a tradeoff for the flexibility, one they’ve tried their best for years to mitigate including offering porting guides. You can take offense to being told you’re ignorant about all of this. But once again, that doesn’t change how reality works.
That all said, I agree that I don’t have the time or energy for this either. But as a software engineer, I really wish people wouldn’t bring in their “opinions” when facts about a piece of software are being discussed… Anyway, i won’t be replying here anymore, so bye
