Can’t escape AI slop projects from meat proxies man. Every single open source project smells like Claude Code recently. Sad times.

Not an ai shill but I think it’s fine that people use ai to make foss. You have no obligation to use it. And I am pretty sure that 80% of users with negative comments would not be able to program software any better i.e. more secure and fewer bugs. Ai made me a driver for a label printer to run on Linux. Code looks fine to me when I skimmed through it although I am by no means a pro programmer. I shared this on github. Shoot me!

Ai usage is not black and white.

The problem we have with it is that if you rely on AI too much, you deskill the abilities you have. Doctors who have used AI to detect cancer then became worse at identifying cancer on their own without AI.

If you rely on it too much and don’t just code by yourself, you’re going to lose the ability. This is in science, if you don’t use the neurons on your head, your brain will begin pruning it to save energy. This is called synaptic pruning. You make yourself dumber.

      I shared this on github

Why bother? Everyone can have Claude pump it out for themselves if they want.
