I want to get back to IRC but it’s been a decade and a half. How do I get there, do I need some software and is there any good way to discover channels?
get a client that supports ircv3 and look for servers that do too. i believe you can query servers for public channels. i think quakenet is still up, but freenode went through a hostile takeover a few years ago and everyone dropped it for libera chat.
