I’m building a web analytics tool called DataQuest, but I’m experimenting with a different way of visualizing user behavior.

The core feature is the visual data concept, each page is represented by a box and each active visitor is represented by a dot.

When a user navigates from one page to another, their dot actually moves along the path between the two pages in real time.

So you could literally watch:

Homepage → Features → Pricing → Signup

with each dot representing a real visitor.

I’m wondering if this would actually be useful to founders/developers, or if it’s just a cool visualization that doesn’t provide enough practical value.

Additionally, most good analytics tools are ridiculously expensive especially when you have several projects.

Would you use something like this? What would you want to see on the live map?
