The Defense Department was funded with a budget of nearly a trillion dollars, but it is running out of cash, according to three U.S. officials, a former defense official, outside experts and two congressional staff members.

    The Pentagon can’t run out of money. At least not in the current world. They can just print more which is what they’ve been doing since the end of the gold standard (actually before that even). The reserve currency status of the US dollar is fundamentally tied to their ability to project their military power globally and as long as that is feasible they will continue to print money. If the Pentagon runs out of money the US is toast and the world order will be in total turmoil. It might be coming into view on the distant horizon but we’re nowhere near that yet as the situation in Iran clearly demonstrates. They will do that to everyone before they give up their privilege.

    I’m sure looking closely at their annual audits over the past decade will give us valuable insight into how this could be happening.

    I guess it’s a good thing he’s using the war to manipulate the stock market and store a fraction of that money in his accounts.
