Thankyou haha forgot
Oh yeah good idea, I’ll add it to the post, forgot that some people may want it posted so its convenient to copy paste
Ai writes 90% of my code…i don’t code much.
On bandcamp Friday in 2 days I am going to buy a whole bunch of music to have locally and there are some artists which are not on bandcamp that I still want to have, I know I can buy their CDs or records and save them as files myself but I’d rather just buy and download a high quality digital version and not all of them have digital copies available to download fr the artists…so does anyone have any recommendations for website to buy digital music from that just have a lot of different artists regardless of where they are on platforms?
Just saying there is definitely more than diminished interested for a bandcamp community
If I were looking for music sharing communities I think I would be asking about that with a more specific goal.
I think saying there is not interest in having a bandcamp community is a silly notion, there’s enough practical reasons over the even shittier streaming options and compared to going to each artist individually, not to mention lemmy as a whole is a link/conent/information/etc aggregator in the form of communities sharing info about everything so meta information alone warrants the existence of it as a community, you mentioning the things about epic gamesand songtradr is a good example of something to go there.
Over time I’ve been watching bandcamp grow and still be as useful as it ever was, in fact it has enough artists on it now that it seems like a worthwhile endeavor for me to use it, thr main thing that got me there recently was a recent push to use bandcamp because of the spotify ceo thing and a few notable artists of mien moving their main front to there.
When windows 10 stops getting supported I’m expecting to see lots of Linux noobs or at least somewhat of a noticeable spike.
I really wish there was a better version of these kinds of graphics that showed all options better, I guess that would end up being more like a website because there’s so many and followable links are nice, it would end up looking like one of the privacy guide websites but I wish there was something that was less privacy and alternatives focused and was more about giving more options in general because not everyone cares about privacy specifically or being green or whatever else.
I saw something once that explained how you can have an ai trained on a set of soccer games and have it generate soccer games as a use for it.
The idea is that the model has compressed all the soccer games into a smaller data size form than the total of having let’s say 100+ games on video or whatever.
That’s the real utility I see in generative ai that I know can keep going basically as long as we want to.
Its nice enough that I’m even considering putting it on my parents PC when windows decides to stop updating here in a couple months
Lol woops I guess autocorrect got me with the compassion
The thing is, ai is compression of intelligence but not intelligence itself. That’s the part that confuses people. Ai is the ability to put anything describable into a compressed zip.
That wording you did there is perfect, that’s the exact kind of precise wording people need to be hearing, not this other relational wording junk.
The lack of https://grayjay.app/ being mentioned in this comment section is criminal lol
Here’s hope to ladybird, it seems like a recipe for good things but its still like a year out if I recall for a beta release or something
What a great day to be a grayjay user lol
Huh so are you saying revolt must do the image age verification thing now?
I used revolt a few years ago before this age verification stuff started popping up
I don’t think Microsoft really did anything extra, I think the media just got trended real hard.
I had known about Microsoft’s work on this topological chip for at least a year before the recent rage about it thanks to a youtube channel called domain of science who went over what was happening here, he is a quantum hardware developer first but stopped to make this YouTube channel which creates maps of various fields of science, its a very good channel highly reccomend it!
I started using fastmail, best thing I decided to do in awhile
Because the internet is what makes chatgpt go brr and reality is not the same as either of those two.
