Adding that the Apollo 11 soft isn’t much more complex as the one of an current pocket calculator, I doubt that it can even run DOOM. NASA anyway has a huge OpenSource catalogue, all their soft used is OpenSource, despite some with restricted licenses only for official uses. Same for other Space agencies, eg. from the ESA. Good sources for astronomic fans.

Not really needed, it has a base of random standard texts, completed with the prompt. This type of text generators exist long before AIs, like eg. the Scigen page which exist since 2002 (last updated 11 years ago and works not longer online, you can fork it from Github). Similar the MathGen page, which create random fake Math BS essays, where you can figure as author. Apart for pranking your friends or poison AIs, you can use it as Lorem Ipsum page. But currently there are naturally also AI paper generators.

90%bof the current web is controlled directly or indirectly by Google, M$, FB, Amazon, even OpenSource. It’s a shopping mall with surveillance by gov agents and AIs in every corner, not so far from Minority Report, not a model for the future if you want some integrity and sovereignty. It’s currently almost irrelevant if you use a VPN, TOR or whatever. they identify you in seconds if they want, more if you are browsing with mobile, knowing in every moment exactly where you are, well by GPS or triangulation.
The open web is more and more an data market of big corps, I see the future more in a decentralized web, I2P or similar.

I don’t have nor use any MS apps, so it’s easy to have the OS AI free.
There isn’t any AI or other M$ crap in my Windows, always the first things I kicked out. Now it goes blazing fast and stable with less than 700MB RAM (Windows 11), unneeded telemetries blocked with Portmaster.
It’s not the same if scientists use AI as tool to create new materials, vaccines, genetics and in other investigations, solving problems which in traditional manner with millons of data need a lot of years, or an dumb user got even dumber, substituting the own creativity and intelligence with an AI app. AI can be an usefull tool for certain tasks, no an substitute for human capabilities. The problem with AI is this, not the AI as such, but it’s abuse, to convert it to an hype, to obtain user data by big corps, to manipulate and control decisions. The correct use of AI need human intelligence.
