That office space is in cities that won’t let them steal all the water and power and then dump pollution into the water supply.

A lot of this is because they don’t need as many permits for “temporary” structures.

I get how it feels that way, buy Americans have a LONG way to go before they know anything like that sort of poverty.

They aren’t scared of shit. They aren’t even risking their own money on any of this shit.

Can’t wait to find out that this somehow cost us taxpayers like a hundred million dollars.

Which is the same thing as the GOODKINDSTICK that everyone says is really good, but only if you get the V3.65 from 2025, the new stuff is garbage.

They will have Chinese RAM by then, so yeah, its going to be the random made up Amazon/Temu Chinese brands.

Same reason assholes have been misinterpreting media since the beginning. Everyone is seeking validation of the choices they have already made or want to make. Most great works of media are produced by intelligent people who want to convey a specific message, and that message is generally counter to the desires of complete assholes, so those tend to be the people that most frequently misinterpret them.

Pretty much the Brave New World future, but Huxley didn’t know about AI. He thought it would just be easy access to media and an (inevitably) corrupt and stupid government.
I guess we do get to choose the form of our great destroyer. Would have preferred the marshmallow man to be honest.

Don’t forget the open outright theft of virtually all digitized media and content produced by humanity.

Minecraft isn’t the problem.
The problem is the 24/7 input of corporate right wing propaganda and brainwashing.

Yep.
Corporations already stole our time. They actually managed to steal our homes to be used as offices but were too fucking stupid to realize what that was worth and gave it back because it accidentally made people kinda happy.

The idea of people investing billions based on “annualized revenue” tells me that rich people have too much fucking money.

Well yeah, AI has been ready to replace people “any day now” for over a year and all its done is require more energy to produce incrementally less sloppy slop, and even that is a bit generous.

Thats always the problem with building hardware open source products. You spend millions developing the OS to work with your stuff and you get like six months before someone else is competing with you, except they didn’t have to spend that investment. The only reason we got the steamdeck was because the guys that made it ALSO owned the means of putting games on it, so they didn’t really need to make money on the product itself (kinda like with Google and the play store).

It SHOULD spell bad news for the people that use this verification method because it just means they lose those customers.

Only when you ignore what was literally the first premise and conclusion.
I bet its evidence that the people involved in this are fully aware of the situation and are making plans for how to cash out and leave us holding the bag when it falls apart.
We can (and should) assume that to be the case, but actual evidence would be pretty significant.
